The 1st Annual Art for Life cocktail party and silent art auction took place on Saturday, September 25, 2010, from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Gremillion & Co. Gallery (Annex), 2501 Sunset Boulevard, Houston, TX.
The event was jointly organized by Advita Fund USA and Texas Children’s Cancer Center.
The proceeds went to:
– Cutting-edge research in finding the cure for childhood cancer,
– Direct support for access to care for children and young people with cancer from Russia and the former Soviet Union.
The auction featured a variety of painting styles from internationally acclaimed and local artists. Art made by talented young cancer patients from the US and Russia was on display. World-leading physicians and scientists from Texas Children’s Cancer Center attended the event and told about the ongoing battle for children’s lives. Hors d’oeuvres and wine were generously provided by Momo Catering and Ambiente Wines.
