April 18 - April 22, 2011: Dmitry Trakovsky, director of the award-winning documentary “Meeting Andrei Tarkovsky” organized a fundraising event on Amazon.com to benefit our non-profit. During this week, DVDs of his documentary were sold at a 40% discount. Overall, 50 DVDs were sold and we are very thankful to Dmitry for his initiative and a generous donation of $500 to support our programs.

April 17th, 2011: Please join us in welcoming the St. Petersburg Brass Quintet www.spbrass.com. This world-class ensemble, comprised of the soloists of St. Petersburg Philharmonic, will perform one hour program which will include works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Haydn and will be a great introduction to classical music for kids of all ages. February-March 2011: Dmitry Trakovsky, writer and director of the award-winning feature documentary Meeting Andrei Tarkovsky, is launching a tour of the United States with his film!
He will appear at each screening in person to introduce the movie and conduct a
Q & A session with the audience. He will also sell DVDs of the documentary at

February 11, 2011: In anticipation of International Childhood Cancer Day ( February 15) our sister organization AdVita in St. Petersburg, Russia, cordially invites you to come to the concert ‘HELPING IS EASY’. The concert will take place at Lutheran Church of Saints Peter and Paul, Nevsky Prospect, 22-24 at 19:00. The concert is organized in collaboration with Petrikirche. The money raised during the event will benefit children who undergo cancer treatment in St. Petersburg’s hospitals.

November 27, 2010: Christmas Charity Ball to benefit Elena Sadikova. If you are in Moscow on that day, please attend and support Elena. She urgently needs help to undergo bone marrow transplantation in the US.

Oct 15 - Oct 17, 2010: The 37th Annual Russian Festival in Baltimore, MD will display information about our non-profit. Please come and sample the many foods, souvenirs and entertainment offered at the Festival.

September 25, 2010: Thank you everyone for making our 1st Art for Life event a success! We had great sponsors: Momentum BMW Southwest, Momentum MINI, Ambiente Wine, Prime Living and Momo Catering. We could not have done it without you! We are looking forward to a bigger and better event next year.

September 20, 2010: As of today, we have 80 donors in the GlobalGiving’s September Open Challenge! This means we have a good chance at getting a bonus of $2,000 for the largest number of donors. Thank you for your support!

September 5, 2010: GlobalGiving’s September Open Challenge has started. This is an opportunity for our charity to earn a permanent spot on the GlobalGiving website. We need to raise at least $4,000 from 50 or more donors by September 30, 2010. The top three projects that raise the most money will receive financial prizes of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 respectively. The project that has the most donors will be awarded $2,000.

July 25, 2010: We are pleased to announce the 1st Annual Art for Life cocktail party and silent art auction will take place on Saturday, September 25, 2010, from 6 pm to 9 pm at the Gremillion & Co. Gallery (Annex), 2501 Sunset Boulevard, Houston, TX. The event is jointly organized by Advita Fund USA and Texas Children’s Cancer Center.

July 9, 2010: Works of six children from Children’s hospital No.1 and City hospital No.31 in St. Petersburg will particpate in 2010 Making a Mark art exhibition at Texas Children’s hospital in Houston, Texas. They are Arsen Arustamyan, Katya Poplavskaya, Andrei Ivanov, Andrei Malozemov, Vika Kuzmina, and Alena Inozemtseva.

June 29, 2010: The charity event which took place in New York City on Sunday, June 27, 2010 at The Change You Want to See Gallery had a great success. Despite the short notice, hot weather and World Cup, about 30 people attended the event and we were able to collect $220.00. Advita Fund USA is grateful to Katya Bychkova and her friends for their tremendous help and support, and to Andrey Deyko, a young and talented artist, who donated 50% of his profit to our non-profit. Thank you all!

June 24, 2010: On June 27, 2010, with a support of Katya Bychkova, journalist from Novoe Russkoye Slovo, Advita Fund USA will host a charity event in New York City: musical performance by Taburetka & Co., exhibit of artwork by Andrey Deyko and photography by Verasen and Eugenia Mantsevich. All proceeds will be used for bone marrow donor search for Stas Pryakhin.

May 25, 2010: On May 29, 2010, the Houston Ladies Club will hold a garage sale in Houston. All proceeds will be used for anticancer treatment for Kirill Tyutyunnik.

December 06, 2009: The Christmas Fair that took place yesterday at the Tolstoy Foundation, was a great accomplishment. Despite the first snow in New York, about 70 people attended the fair and we were able to collect over $2,300. The event has been recorded by the NTV America and will be broadcast on Monday, December 7th, at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Advita USA is grateful to the Tolstoy Foundation and personally to Victoria Wohlsen, the Executive Director, for their hospitality and support. As well, we appreciate everyone who made the fair a very successful and rewarding event!

November 08, 2009: Dear Friends! We are just one month away from the Christmas Fair which will take place on December 5th, 2009, at the Tolstoy Foundation (Spring Valley, NY) from 12 noon till 6 p.m. Advita Fund USA cordially invites you to join us (driving directions are here).

At Christmas Fair you can buy holiday decorations, greetings cards, candles, original artwork, custom jewelery, books, photographs, and many other unique gifts. You can also meet our volunteers: Olga Nilova and Vlad Litvinov; ask them any question about our non-profit organization and the work we do to support children fighting cancer. Come and learn about the Tolstoy Foundation and its unique humanitarian programs. 100% of the money raised from the Fair will be used for treatment and medication for children with cancer who are currently undergoing a medical care in St. Petersburg, Russia, and for immediate needs of the Tolstoy Foundation.
